Acupressure (No Needles)
There are several non-needle treatment options available. While there is usually only short-term discomfort with acupuncture, we can also provide effective treatments without the use of needles, including acupressure and plant spirit medicine.
Pressure can be applied to acupuncture points rather than using needles during a session. Depending on the person and their conditions, acupressure can be very effective substitutes for acupuncture for young child or those adverse to needles.
Essential oils are vey concentrated preparations from plants that can be used on acupuncture points. We have found them to be very effective for many conditions. We often use them in conjunction with acupuncture, acupressure and other therapies.
Plant Spirit Medicine:
Developed by acupuncturist Elliot Cowan, plant spirit medicine is a synthesis of Chinese medicine and indigenous plant shamanism. It combines five element constitutional diagnoses with the healing power of local plants. Plant spirit medicine can be used as a stand-alone modality or in conjunction with other treatments.
